Many professional women wait too long: to raise their hand, to ask for the role, to put themselves forward. Meritxell Bautista talks about that wait from her own career. An entrepreneur, in 2013 she co-founded the Catalan telecoms operator Fibracat, ran it until its sale in 2021, and now chairs the investment firm MANIX Capital.
She has argued these ideas in public for years, in opinion columns for Forbes España, ELLE and the Catalan daily MetaData. At the 2021 Forbes Summit Power Women she argued for working from the ground up so that quotas would no longer be needed.
The talk takes a feminist, business-minded and action-oriented view: it invites women and organisations to break with the impostor and become role models.
